Mathraki

Diapontia Islands

An island complex of the Ionian Sea located at the northwestern end of Corfu and including Ereikoussa, Mathraki, Othonoi as well as some smaller inhabited islets.

Mathraki
The southernmost and smallest island of the complex is the paradise of harpoon lovers, with beautiful reefs and rock-islets and a rich seabed. Plakes, the port of Mathraki where you will find a tavern, is connected by boat with the town Corfu, Aghios Stefanos Avlioton and Sidari. Mathraki is located at 4.5 n.m. west of cape Kefali of Corfu.

Sightseeing

•  Fyki, the old port which is located on the west coast. The seabed behind cape Katergo is ideal for fishing. The church of Aghia Triada (Holy Trinity) with its old stone-built belfry.
•  The rock-islets of Karavi, Leipso and Plaka.
