Diapontia Islands
An island complex of the Ionian Sea located at the northwestern end of Corfu and including Ereikoussa, Mathraki, Othonoi as well as some smaller inhabited islets.
Othonoi
The biggest island of the complex is located at the westernmost part of the Greek territory. It has a wonderful natural environment comprising of the ruins of Venetian castles, traditional houses and old churches. Ammos is the port of Othonoi. Othonoi is located at 12 n.m. to the W-NW of cape Drastis of Corfu.
Sightseeing
- The cove of Ammos: from here you can take a boat, reach the green-water beach and see the cave where, according to the legend, Calypso hold Ulysses captive.
- The rock-islets of Kastrino and Ostrako.
- The enchanting settlements of Dafni and Chorio.
